Mt Vernon Secures Narrow Victory Over Greenfield-Central in Front-Nine Clash It was a tale of two back-and-forths on the links this week as MT Vernon edged out Greenfield-Central in a tightly contested nine-hole match. While both teams showcased flashes of brilliance, MT Vernon’s depth proved to be the deciding factor, finishing with a top-four team score of 168 to Greenfield-Central’s 175. Wilson Leads the Pack, But MT Vernon Consistency Wins Out The individual performance of the day belonged to Greenfield-Central Wilson, who turned in a stellar 38. Wilson was the only golfer in the field to break 40, highlighted by a sharp run of pars and a particularly impressive 3 on the difficult third hole. However, MT Vernon countered Wilson’s low medal score with remarkable balance at the top of their lineup. Both Lemmon and Gladson carded consistent rounds of 40, providing a steady foundation for their team. Gladson’s back-to-back 3s on holes six and seven kept the momentum firmly in MT Vernon favor during the middle of the round. In the JV match Greenfield-Central edged out Mt Vernon 182 -186. Greenfield-Central's Noah Swift careded a score of 38 which was the medal score for the match. Swifts Score was instrumental in the teams victory.
