The lady Cougars got off to a lead 1-0 in the 1st on a sac fly by Savvanna Riall scoring Kristen Wineinger. Cathedral would plate 3 in the bottom of the inning. The Irish would add to their lead scoring 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and 2 in the 4. The Cougars added 1 in the 4th on a solo home run by Charlotte Riehle. In the 5th the Cougars put up 4 with Riehle hitting a 2 run triple giving her 3 rbi for the day. We added a run in the 6th to get the score to 8-7, in the bottom of the inning the Irish would plate 4 runs making it 12-7. The Cougars would score 1 more in the 7th but couldn't take advantage of bases load situation as the game ended. Charlotte Riehle led the offense going 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple and 3 rbi, Chesney Herbst also collected 2 hits, and a base on ball in 3 at bats. We will be back in action in the season home opener Monday at 5:30 vs Triton Central.
