The Greenfield-Central girls track and field team opened its indoor season on March 3 at the Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds with a strong showing in the 3200-meter run. Representing the Cougars were Josie Kinnaman and Mia Brinkruff, the team’s only competitors at the meet. Both athletes competed in the 3200 and delivered impressive early-season performances. Kinnaman led the way, running a school-record time of 11:18 to place fourth overall. Her performance set a new standard for Greenfield-Central and marked an exciting start to the indoor campaign. Brinkruff followed closely behind, clocking an 11:23 to earn a sixth-place finish overall. Together, the duo set the tone for the season with a pair of top-six finishes and a record-breaking effort to kick off the year.
