In their final home game of the regular season, the Cougars delivered a gritty overtime victory, defeating Perry Meridian 60–56 in front of the home crowd. With the game on the line in regulation, Cole Mullins stepped to the free-throw line and knocked down clutch free throws to force overtime, setting the stage for the Cougars to finish the job in the extra period. Despite a rough shooting night from beyond the arc (25% from three) and at the free-throw line (56%), Greenfield-Central was dominant inside, shooting an outstanding 70% from two-point range and still reaching the 60-point mark. The Cougars also valued possessions, committing just 9 turnovers on the night — a key factor in securing the win. Clay Mullins led the way with 15 points, while Malachi Van added 14 points, providing a strong interior presence. With the victory, the Cougars close the regular season on a three-game winning streak, averaging 61 points per game offensively while holding opponents to 53 points per game during that stretch. Momentum is building at the right time as Greenfield-Central gears up for the Sectional Semifinal next Friday. Keep it rolling.
