The Cougars protected home court on Senior Night with a hard-fought 60–52 victory over East Central, combining offensive efficiency with disciplined ball security to secure the win. Offensively, Greenfield-Central shot a strong 48% from the field (22-of-46), an efficient performance that fueled 60 total points. The Cougars also did an outstanding job protecting the basketball, committing just 5 turnovers, preserving possessions and limiting transition opportunities for the opponent. While GC relied heavily on the three-point shot and didn’t get to the free-throw line often, their overall shot-making and execution sustained the offense throughout the night. Clay Mullins delivered a dominant Senior Night performance with 32 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, leading from start to finish. Malachi Van added 11 points and 7 rebounds, providing toughness and presence inside. Defensively, the Cougars held East Central to 52 total points, generated 7 steals, and limited the opponent to just 5 offensive rebounds, minimizing second-chance opportunities. While GC had moments of difficulty containing the opponent’s three-point shooting and sent them to the line too often, the overall defensive effort was strong enough to close out the win. A special night, a complete team effort, and a well-earned Senior Night victory.
