Turnovers and Rebounding Battle Cost Cougars at Lawrence Central

The Cougars fell on the road to Lawrence Central, 79–55, in a game where efficiency wasn’t the issue — volume and second-chance opportunities were. Offensively, Greenfield-Central shot an efficient 44% from the floor (85th percentile) and moved the ball well, finishing with 17 assists. However, the Cougars struggled to generate enough shot volume and committed too many turnovers, which limited overall scoring opportunities and prevented sustained runs. Clay Mullins and Cole Mullins led the charge, combining for 27 points on the night. Defensively, GC had difficulty finishing possessions. Lawrence Central connected on 38% from three on high volume and grabbed 13 offensive rebounds, creating extra possessions that helped fuel their 79-point output. The Cougars will look to tighten up rebounding and ball security as they continue to prepare for the next stretch of games.
