Greenfield-Central's Andrew Heacox and Tristen Lanum had their 2026 campaigns come to an end at the IHSAA Semi-State at New Castle High School. Andrew Heacox, the only freshman in the 113lbs bracket, dropped his first match by decision to Westfield's Brayden Head (So.), 11-4. Tristen Lanum won his first round bout against Cale Metzler (Jr.) of Noblesville High School by decision, 8-2. This victory was Lanum's 100th career victory as a Cougar. In the quarterfinals (the round to go to state), Lanum dropped his final high school match against #2 Landon Burgett (Sr.) of Fishers by decision, 3-0. The future is bright for the Cougars as they return 12 of the 14 on their Sectional roster, 8 of their 9 Regional qualifiers, and a Semi-State qualifier in Andrew Heacox.
