The Cougars capped off a perfect weekend with a second straight victory, knocking off county rival Eastern Hancock at home behind a dominant third-quarter surge. Greenfield-Central exploded for 24 points in the third, flipping the momentum and taking control of the game. Cole Mullins caught fire during the run, drilling four three-pointers in a 1:30 stretch and finishing the night with 24 points. Off the bench, Blake Evans delivered a huge performance with 17 points, providing energy and scoring when it mattered most. The Cougars also did an outstanding job defensively, holding off one of the area’s top shooting teams to secure the win. Greenfield-Central now hits the road this Thursday and Saturday for matchups at Shortridge and Shelbyville.
