Batesville Holiday Tournament Recap The Cougars delivered a strong two-game performance at the Batesville Holiday Tournament, earning the championship with back-to-back wins. Semifinal | Greenfield-Central 54, Harrison (OH) 46 Greenfield-Central advanced to the finals behind a disciplined defensive effort, holding Harrison scoreless in the second quarter to create separation. The defensive intensity and team execution fueled a 54–46 victory. Championship | Greenfield-Central 52, Batesville 51 Facing an undefeated Batesville squad on their home floor, the Cougars battled in a back-and-forth championship game that came down to the final moments. With Batesville leading by one and just 4 seconds remaining, Malachi Van calmly stepped to the line and knocked down two clutch free throws to secure a dramatic 52–51 victory and the tournament title. Every player played a crucial role in the championship run. Isaiah Humes and Cole Mullins led the Cougars with 14 points each, while Greenfield-Central shot an impressive 45% from three-point range as a team. Championship grit. Total team effort.
