The Lady Cougars traveled to Connersville to take on the Spartans. For the first 3 quarters the game with a back-and-forth battle with both teams exchanging baskets for the first 24 minutes and the Spartans taking a 4 point lead into the final quarter. The Spartans used a 3 minutes span halfway through the 4th quarter to extend their lead to double digits with eight unanswered points. That mini run by the Spartans proved to enough to hold off the Cougars. Leading the Cougars in scoring were two familiar names with Izzy Silcox ending up with 14 points and Lexi Kerkhof throwing in 11. Addison Jones from Connersville led all scorers by hitting six 3's for 18 points. The Cougars are back in action on Tuesday when they host Perry Meridian. JV tip is at 6:00 with the Varsity beginning at approximately 7:30.
