The Lady Cougars had a slow start to the game against the Lebanon Tigers and trailed 5-11 after the 1st quarter. The 2nd quarter saw the Cougars cut into the lead and found them trailing 19-21 at halftime. After a back-and-forth 3rd quarter the Cougars enter the final 8:00 minutes trailing by 3. However, the fourth quarter saw the Cougars turn up the heat defensively which led to Tiger turnovers and Cougar baskets. When the final horn sounded to end the 4th quarter, the Cougars scored 22 points and held the Tigers to 5 points on their way to a 51-37 victory. The Cougars had 3 players score in double figures for the game. Izzy Silcox led all scorers with 20 points. Juliann Jones ended with 12 points and was closely followed by Ainsley Robinson with 11 points. The Tigers were led in scoring by Jade Mount with 13 points. The win was a great way for the Cougars to end 2025!. The young Cougars sit at 5-8 entering 2026. Their next game is next Saturday when they travel to Connersville. JV tip is at noon, with the Varsity playing at approximately 1:30.
