The Cougars battled on the road Wednesday night against an undefeated Decatur Central squad. After a slow start that saw the Hawks jump out to a 12–2 lead, Greenfield-Central responded with toughness and composure, rallying all the way back to take a four-point lead before halftime. The second half turned into a back-and-forth fight, with both teams trading momentum. Ultimately, Decatur Central made the final push and pulled away late, defeating the Cougars 71–55. Cole Mullins led the way with 17 points, while Blake Evans added 10 for Greenfield-Central. The Cougars look to bounce back quickly as they hit the road again on Friday to take on county rival New Palestine.
