The Greenfield-Central JV boys basketball team defeated George Washington 64 - 28. The group turned in a collective effort against George Washington with 3 cougars scoring in double figures to get the win. Palmer Allender led the Cougars in scoring finishing with 19 points. He was followed by Kyson Nicholson and Ethan Swift who both had 11 points. Noah Benjamin along with Swift, Nicholson, and Allender provided a spark defensively, pressuring George Washington ball handlers all game. This had been a point of emphasis for the group all week in practice. The Cougars shot the ball well, shooting over 50 percent from 2, and exactly 40 percent from 3. All 9 players for Greenfield Central tonight played and all 9 scored in the contest. The group is very young with a lot of guys stepping into new roles, so focus on improving every day has been and will continue to be the emphasis moving forward!
