The Lady Cougars traveled only 9 of a possible 14 to their season opener, a 28 team invitational at New Palestine High School. The Cougars advanced most of their lineup with 6 placers, including two finalist, one champ and 12th place team finish. Notable finishes include: Seniors Keely Allen (Bracket champion) and Katie Rigney (6th), Junior Asia Bowen (2nd), Junior Brookelynn Lanning (7th), and Freshmen Bella McCullough (4th) and Alex Bousman (6th). Even with five open weight classes, the Lady Cougars finished better than half the field. Coach Harris is excited about the promise from this young team.
