The Junior Varsity Lady Cougars opened their season at home against Martinsville. Because of low numbers for Martinsville the two teams only played two quarters. Even though the Cougars lost 9 to 12, there were several positive things that the Cougars can build on as they look to improve each and every day. Scoring for the Cougars were Ashtyn Sonsini and Laila Avery with 4 each, and Aslynn Pangburn chipped in a made free throw. The JV team will be back in action at home next Tuesday at 6:00 in a JV Only game against Eastern Hancock.
