Muncie, IN (October 13, 2020) – The Greenfield-Central varsity volleyball team swept the Pendleton Heights Arabians in the first round of sectionals held at New Castle High School.

The Cougars got off to a quick start and were able to gain a big lead in the opening set. Throughout the match, tough serving from the Arabians forced a lot of out of system play from the Cougars but they were still able to capitalize and finish points. Blocking was a huge factor in the Cougars game with 13 total team blocks.

Ava Antic recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs. Senior libero Rachel Campbell picked up 24 digs. Senior Middle Blocker, Molly Schwarzkopf tallied eight blocks.

The Cougars face Mt. Vernon on Saturday October 17th at 10:00am for the second round of Sectionals. The game will be played at New Castle High School.
