Munice, IN (September 7, 2019) – The Greenfield Central Varsity Volleyball team beat Evansville Memorial in their last match of pool play during the Shondell Family Invite.
The Cougars played their best all around match, so far this season, against the number three ranked team in the state of Indiana in class 3A volleyball. In the shortened third set, there were seven different occasions when both teams were tied before Greenfield-Central pulled ahead to take the win. Middle hitter, Kenley Carpenter started the match very strong with five kills in the first set. Junior, Ava Antic went on to record 12 kills and 12 digs at the end of the match. Libero Marissa Grigsby recorded 12 digs. Sophomore setter, Morgan Hornaday, had 20 assists.
