The Cougars fell to Pendleton Heights Wednesday night 0-5. This is the second match the Cougars have played since changing their lineup and although they lost, everyone is continuing to look better. 1 doubles Mason Bussel and Collin Hunt started down 0-3 in their first set before they finally started to feel comfortable in their match. As the match went on the pair only got better and almost forced a third set before barely losing the second 5-7. 2 doubles Kane Bradley and Robbie Dye also had a tight match. The pair won their first set 6-1 but allowed their opponent back in the match during the second and came up short of winning in the third. 3 singles Seth Kirkpatrick played singles for the second time this season. Seth is still adjusting from doubles to singles but is getting better each night and will continue to improve as the season continues. 1 singles Sam Galyean and 2 singles Steven Roland also lost, but they were both hitting smarter shots and had some very long rallies throughout their match. The jv team earned a 5-4 win tonight. Winners for jv were Garrett Neumeister, Alex Hager, Tyler Hornaday, Corbin Tilley, Nick Grandstaff, Brock Wheeler, and Jack Weidner.
