The ladies track and field team kicked off their season Saturday afternoon at the first of 2 indoor meets on the schedule.
Highlights from the meet include Audrey Brinkruff running the fasted 3,200 meter time in school history. Her time of 11:49.03 is an indoor record and is faster than the current outdoor record by nearly 10 seconds. Audrey’s time has her sitting 14th in state rankings.
Addi Coil threw a PR in the Shot Put which has her sitting in 24th spot in the state.
Crystal Peterson ran a PR time in the 60 meter hurdles. Her time has her at 29th in the state. Crystal is also ranked 40th in long jump.
The 4×400 team is ranked 37th with a solid opening time in the race. Team members included Addi Hill, Zuleny Calderon, Crystal Peterson, and Kayana Maroska.
The top 24 athletes in each event after 3 weeks of competition will advance is the indoor state finals in Bloomington on March 23rd.
