The Greenfield-Central Women’s Cross Country team opened the 2018 season with a 6th place finish in the large school division at the Triton Central Early Bird Invitational (7th of 19 competing schools). The Cougars were led by the 3rd place finish of Audrey Brinkuff. Brinkruff became the second athlete to break 20 minutes (4th performance) in school history. Sarah Muckerheide placed 20th. Also competing for the Cougars were Emily Wright (40th), Lindsey Pope (42nd), Erin Hodnett (50th), and Lucy Conner (54th).
Brinkruff improved her time by nearly two minutes on the course from a year ago, and Pope improved her time by nearly a minute.
