Two Cougars finished in the top 20 earning medals. Conner Kinnaman finished 4th (16:53) to lead the Cougars, and Jonah Fletcher was 14th (17:54). Just missing the top 20 but running great races were two sophomores Jacob Presser in 22nd (18:18), and Lucas Tutrow 23rd (18:26). The final scorer for the Cougars was Micah Smith in 26th (18:45). Tyler Osborn was 30th (18:50), and Adam Bright was 57th (20:10).
In the JV race, the Cougars only had four runners, so not enough to score, but the Cougars who did run, ran well. The Cougars had 3 in the top 11 with Masan Kojima leading the group in 7th (19:59). Morgan Flanagan was 10th (20:05), and Seth Young 11th (20:22). Freshman Devin Evanoff was 25th (22:05). Evanoff learned the valuable lesson that you can’t win the race in the first mile, but you sure can lose it after he led the race for the first kilometer.
