Greenfield-Central had their closest match of the year against Warren Central Monday night. After being down 0-2, the score became tied 2-2 thanks to the Cougars 1 and 2 singles. 1 singles Lindsey McCord played a fantastic match and held strong in a second set tie breaker to win the match. #2 singles Avery Spencer also played extremely well. After being down 1-4, Spencer was able to come back and win the next 11 games in a row to earn a 6-4, 6-0 win. The final point of the night came down to a third set in 2 doubles. After exchanging games back and forth, Warren Central was able to take two in a row and win the third set 6-4. 2 doubles Kaleigh Stephenson and Grace Hall played one of their best matches of the year though and continue to improve with every match. The Cougars are now 0-3 and will play Mt. Vernon on Thursday.
