Game Recap

The Greenfield-Central Cougars won 42-28 over their in-county rivals, Eastern Hancock. The Cougars were led by their offensive line on Friday night, amassing 504 yards Rushing. Michael Sosnowski led the way with 204 rushing yards on 14 carries and 1 touchdown. Skylar Gary followed suit with 154 rushing yards on 10 carries. Quarterback Spencer Hert had 1 touchdown pass and 1 touchdown run. Wide Receiver Braden Brown had a touchdown reception and a rushing touchdown.
Defensively, the Cougars were led by a huge performance by Senior Defensive End Dalton Shaw. He had 2 sacks and a fumble recovery. Bryce Ratliff led the Cougar in Tackles and Senior Cornerback Austin Herald put in a lockdown performance.
Special teams were highlighted by a spectacular solid performance shared by Cole Pierce and Nathan Brand. Together they were a perfect 6-6 on PAT’s and controlled field position with their kickoffs.
The Cougars are at home at Clayton Myers Field next Friday, August 26th agains Bloomington North High School at 7:30 PM.
