Meet Recap

The Greenfield Central High School Women’s Track and Field team completed their season at the IHSAA State Track Meet on Saturday in Bloomington. Regan Lewis led the way placing 7th in high jump and earning ALL STATE HONORS FOR THE 4TH TIME! To get to the state meet (especially from our regional), is an extremely hard thing to do. The fact that she has medaled in each of her 4 appearances is incredible. To the best of my knowledge, this has not been done by anyone in GCHS Women’s Track and Field. We look forward to watching Regan continue her career as part of the Ball State Track and FIeld Team.
Maddie WIse and Sydney Cook also did an outstanding job representing GC. Wise finished 17th in the state in the 300 hurdles. She broke her previous SCHOOL RECORD by running a :46.50 in that event. Wise also did a great job in the 100m hurdles placing 19th in that event. Sydney Cook did a fantastic job breaking her own SCHOOL RECORD in the 800. Sydney ran a 2:19.74 and placed 17th in that event. Greenfield tied for 59th place in the state meet.
